2 Ximing (Katie) Lin Oakville, ON F 13 83, 85 168
3 Evelyn Li Mississauga, ON F 12 84, 88 172
Winner’s Quote: Alexis Card, 11, Cambridge, ON: “I feel good about taking the division title. When I got up and down from 40 yards on hole 17 the first day, that was big. I just try and focus on the next shot because I can’t control what happened on the last.”
MJT 15-19 Girls: Grey Silo GC: Par 71, Ydg 5653, Slope/Rating 136/72.9
1 Abby Barker Kitchener, ON F 17 77, 81 158
2 Mia Truong Kitchener, ON F 16 82, 81 163
3 Kirsten Lee Mississauga, ON F 14 83, 89 172
Winner’s Quote: Abby Barker, 17, Kitchener, ON: “I feel pretty good about this win, it’s been a pretty good streak for me. One of the best parts were the people I was playing with for sure. I just focused on stuff around me, like the clouds, trees, birds- anything unrelated to golf essentially – when things got stressful.”
MJT Peewee Boys: Grey Silo GC: Par 71, Ydg 5197, Slope/Rating 115/66.0
1 Nathan Dai North York, ON M 11 69, 76 145
2 Oscar Lin Aurora , ON M 11 73, 78 151
3 Justin Chu North York, ON M 12 77, 75 152
Winner’s Quote: Nathan Dai, 11, North York, ON: “I feel great about winning my division, especially with it being my first time winning in a two-day event. Some highlights were mostly in round one; shooting under par for the first time with a 69, making a 30-foot birdie putt. When the game isn’t going as planned, I forget about it, simple enough. Move on and strategize on the following hole, I adjust simple things that are going wrong, like my putting pace. I realize that when things aren’t going as planned, everyone is experiencing that, it’s expected at some point.”
MJT Bantam Boys: Grey Silo GC: Par 71, Ydg 6081, Slope/Rating 128/69.4
1 Matthew Simpson Etobicoke, ON M 13 75, 75 150 * Won in Playoff
1 Brayden Card Cambridge, ON M 13 76, 74 150
3 Max Li Richmond Hill, ON M 12 75, 76 151
Winner’s Quote: Matthew Simpson, 13, Etobicoke, ON: “I feel really great and proud of my win, it came really close, and to win in a playoff was a major highlight. Taking it with a birdie on that second playoff hole was great.”
MJT Juvenile Boys: Grey Silo GC: Par 71, Ydg 6532, Slope/Rating 131/71.2
1 Rylan Hall Stratford, ON M 15 72, 70 142
2 Sean Fraser Guelph, ON M 16 74, 70 144
3 Bennett Hawrelak Komoka, ON M 16 74, 79 153
3 Andrew Lee Mississauga, ON M 16 74, 79 153
Winner’s Quote: Rylan Hall, 15, Stratford, ON: “I am happy with how I played, and to make a comeback from losing last week’s tournament. Making so many birdies was a highlight for me, and some big putts. When it got a bit stressful, I just go back to what my coach would say, just have fun.”
MJT Junior Boys: Grey Silo GC: Par 71, Ydg 6532, Slope/Rating 131/71.2
1 Owen Mailhot Whitby, ON M 19 78, 76 154 *Won in Playoff
1 Benjamin Hebert Thorold, ON M 17 76, 78 154
3 Ryan Dorais Kitchener, ON M 17 78, 78 156
Winner’s Quote: Owen Mailhot, 19, Whitby, ON: “I feel accomplished, all the hours grinding has paid off. I hit a three wood on hole 17 fairway to ten feet, which was a major highlight. I keep thinking “It’s never over, until it’s over. There are more holes to play.””
