Hawrelak and Collett qualify at Tangle Creek for MJT National Team Challenge

Tournament Highlights:
- Canada’s number-one played junior golf tour, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) hosted over 80 competitive young golfers in hot, humid weather at the MJT Ontario Series at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club, in Thornton, Ontario, June 25-26.
- Bennett Hawrelak, 16, of London, ON, won the MJT Juvenile Boys division and low overall Boys score aftering carding rounds of 75-77 (152), edging Michael Collett, 16, of Bracebridge, ON, by one stroke.
- Both Bennet Hawrelak and Michael Collett qualified for MJT Team East in the National Team Challenge presented by Freedom 55 Financial in Niagara-on-the-Lake this September.
- Aged only 12, Nobelle Park, of Oakville, ON, played up a division in MJT Girls 15-19, and ran away with her division title after a fine opening round of 69 (69,79 = 148).
- Leighton Wright, 18, of Barrie, ON, won the MJT Junior Boys division title (79-77=156).
- Elliana Buhagiar, 12, of Bowmanville, ON, won the MJT Girls U15 title in style after a brilliant opening round score of 67 (67-75=142).
- The tightly contested MJT Bantam Boys division saw a three-way tie for second place just one stroke back of the winner, Dimitri Protopapas, 13, of Innisfil, ON, (78-76=154).
- Joseph Totino, 12, of Toronto, ON, secured his MJT Peewee Boys division victory by six strokes (76-73=149).

When things get tough, I just breath and try to stay clam, and get that hole off my mind.”
