MJT Bantam Boys: Carstairs GC: Par 72, Ydg 6149, Slope/Rating 126/69.7

Winner’s Quote: Brady Durkin, 14, of Sylvan Lake, AB: “I'm very excited after putting in a lot of work into my golf game over the summer. Having seven birdies over the two rounds was the highlight. If my mind ever wonders during the game, I just try to refocus, breath and have something to eat.

Winner’s Quote: Josiah Tong, 16, of Heritage Pointe, AB: “It feels great to win again at Carstairs, and to also win overall! There was stiff competition out there, but I stuck to my game and played to my strengths. The best part was my two eagles the first round. I like to focus shot by shot, and when a shot on a hole doesn’t go to plan, I just reset and try again.

1 Solomon Decksheimer Calgary, AB M 17 71, 70 141

Winner’s Quote: Solomon Dechsheimer, 17, of Calgary, AB: “I'm really happy to get it done again, I love knowing I made my family and my friend Harry proud. Making seven birdies on the second round and eagling my final hole on the second round was great. I’m lucky enough to work in a kitchen where I get put under a lot of pressure at times, so if I ever feel that way in a game, I just remember all the times I’ve cooked some great food under pressure.”
