MJT Ford Series-PGA of Alberta Junior Champions Crowned Grosart, MacDougall, Allan and Oosterhuis claim Division Titles
Calgary, AB. – (July 24, 2014) – A packed field of 100 young golfers teed it up at the Boston Pizza-presented MJT Ford Series / PGA of Alberta Junior Championship at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club in Calgary, Alberta, this past week, competing for titles in eight divisions.
The field comprised players on the MJT Mini Tour for ages 12 and under, as well as players up the age of 19 on the regular Tour. Mini Tour players competed over 18 holes on July 21st only, where the Atom Girls and Boys division winners were Jayla Kucy, 8, of Camrose, AB, who shot 86, and Jace Shannon, 9, of Forestburg, AB, who shot 75. In the Peewee Boys Division, 12-year old Dylan Bercan of Vancouver, BC, shot 72 from the modified tees to claim the title.
