Winnipeg, MB – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) held the third annual MJT-Manitoba PGA Junior Championship this past weekend at Transcona Golf Club in Winnipeg, where competitors from three provinces vied for division champion titles.
The two-day tournament on the MJT, which is presented by Boston Pizza, brought out some fine play amongst the juniors despite very windy conditions on day two which made scoring difficult.
Bryce Moar 18, of Portage la Prairie, fired a career-best opening round of 66 but struggled with the wind the second day, scoring 86 to close at 152 total score. Sean Robertson, 17, of Winnipeg, posted scores of 72-75 for a 147 total to beat Moar by five strokes and win the low overall score and Boys 17 and up division title.
