ERIC ALLARD • Calgary, AB Currently a first year geophysics student attending the University of Calgary. Eric is also pleased to be a member of the University of Calgary Dinos Golf Team. The Dinos recently won the Alberta College Athletic Conference where Eric placed as the 2008/09 Men's Golf Champion. PAMELA BURNESKI • Surrey, BC Pamela has signed with Indiana University Women’s Golf Team for 2009. For more details about the Team go to: click here. ANISHA CHONG • Lethbridge, AB Anisha is enrolled in the engineering program at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and also playing on the golf team (Pandas). LEWIS CHONG • Lethbridge, AB After two years at University of Lethbridge, Lewis transferred to University of Texas, San Antonio (UTSA) in Sept. 2008. He is on the golf team (Roadrunners) and pursuing a Business degree. TRAVIS COLTER • Dartmouth, NS Gary has been accepted in a two year program, Electrical Engineering Technology at the Nova Scotia Community College. Last year was my first year attending Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to attending again this year. I also won the runner up boys 14 & 16 at the links at Penn Hills 2008 during the MJT Atlantic PGA Junior Championship tour. I am also a member of my High School Golf team, and we did well in provincials. CHRIS COOKE • Canmore, AB Attending University of Central Arkansas in Conway, about 30 minutes from Little Rock, with an accounting major. The university's golf team consists of 9 men and 7 ladies from all around the world including South Africa, Chile, England, Korea, Canada and only two from the United States; one of the coaches is former tour player Jack O'Keefe - the other is a former member of the number one ranked Arkansas Razorbacks. Craig reports that his team has bonded very well and are almost like brothers and says "the Maple Leaf Junior Tour has helped me develop my game to take it to the next level and live out my dream to play division 1 college golf and give me a chance to further excel my game to possibly play on tour one day. Not only am I able to improve my golfing skills I have also made lifelong connections in the golfing world and made many friends in the process." For more information see www.ucasports.com SEAN CRAPO • Calgary, AB Sean is a freshman at Brigham Young University - Hawaii campus and plays golf for the school team, the Seasiders, NCAA Div II in Oahu, Hawaii. He's majoring in International Business and is loving the warm weather and small friendly campus of about 2,400 students representing some 60 different countries. He has friends from China, Japan, Korea, Samoa, Tonga, the USA and many other countries. The university had a large recruiting class in 2008 which started with 16 players. They cut to 12 players in September, played some tournaments and cut to 8 players in early November. Sean successfully made both cuts and hopes to be on the travelling team of 5 for next semester which will see the team travel to the USA mainland for tournaments in Phoenix, Utah and California as well as more local tournaments in the Hawaiian islands. The Seasiders home course is Turtle Bay Resort just down the road from the BYU campus and the famous Polynesian Cultural Center which is part of the university. BRITTANY DAVIDSON • Mississauga, ON Brittany is pleased to announce that she has signed an NLI with Northwood University in Michigan - Home of the Northwood Timberwolves who compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference. This is a NCAA DIV II school with campuses in Michigan, Texas and Florida. She has enrolled in the Business Management Course and plans to major in Sports Management. Brittany is looking forward to school starting on Aug. 30th, 2009. TANNER HALL • Saskatoon, SK Tanner is planning to go to college in September 2009 with intentions to complete 2 years of sciences required to then enter the College of Pharmacy/Medicine. Tanner has already written the PSAT exams in grade 11 and will be doing the SAT exams this year. THOMAS INNES • Tilbury, ON Thomas graduated from Tilbury District High School and is currently attending St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario in the Law & Security / Police Foundations Program. ADRIAN KIBSEY • Winnipeg, MB Adrian is currently attending Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida. Warner is a member of the NAIA and Florida Sun Conference. SUE KIM • Langley, BC Sue has signed with the University of Denver Women’s Golf Team for 2009 (full scholarship) SKYLAR LEBEL • Swift Current, SK Skylar says he is planning to go to either Saskatoon University to study Arts and Science for two years and then apply into law or to go to Regina for educational studies that would lead to becoming a teacher. MICHAEL LAWRENCE • Richmond, BC Michael is attending Kwantlen Polytechnic University in first year of a B.B.A. in Accounting. Golf Team information and information about Michael can be found here BRETT MACGILLIVARY • Stony Plain, AB Brett is currently attending the University of Alberta, in his first year of the Bachelor of Science program. Brett is on the university's golf team and has travelled to Washington and Lethbridge so far this year for tournaments, and is looking forward to team a competition in Las Vegas this spring. LYLE MACKENZIE • Winnipeg, MB Lyle is attending the University of Manitoba, and taking courses in the university 1 category and playing on the school golf team. THOMAS MCLELLAN • Halifax, NS Thomas is currently attending High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. Thomas is studying business and plays on the golf team which competes in the Big South Conference in Division I. JORDAN MELANSON • Nelson, BC Jordan is attending the University of Montevallo in Alabama on a golf scholarship. The university is a NCAA division 2 playing in the Gulf South Conference this year and moving to the Peach Belt Conference next year. DANIEL MOAR • Portage la Prairie, MB Daniel is furthering his education at the University of Manitoba, taking University 1 and will be applying to the Faculty of Kinesiology for Athletic Therapy. Daniel is planning to continue playing competitively and hopes to play some university golf next year. ELIZABETH PETTIE • Calgary, AB Elizabeth is a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania in the Wharton School of Business. She is also playing on the UPenn Quakers women's golf team. BRETT STANDERWICK • Tsawwassen, BC Brett is currently at UBC Vancouver in the Sauder School of Business program. Brett is planning to try out for the golf team next year. MARIN TRASK • Golden, BC Marin is enrolled in the Golf Course Management at Lethbridge College; Trent Matson is one of his teachers. JACOB WEBB • Issaquah, WA Jacob is attending Western Washington University in Issaquah, Washington on a golf scholarship. |
