Qualifying Process / Exemption Outline

US Kids World Championship qualifying positions will be direct entry via the MJT Mini Tour in Ontario and British Columbia (1 direct entry spot) in:

Boy 6U Division (MJT Mini Tour)

1 - Boy 7 / 1 - Girl 7U Division (MJT Mini Tour)

1 - Boy / 1 - Girl 8 Division (MJT Mini Tour)

1 - Boy / 1 - Girl 9 Division (MJT Mini Tour)

1 - Boy / 1 - Girl 10 Division (MJT Mini Tour)

Players must compete for the spot for the age they will be on July 31st , 2017: e.g.  If a player aged 12 right now will be 13 as at July 31st, 2017,  he/she needs to qualify for the 13 year old spot (e.g. cannot qualify for a 12 year old spot now and then play months later as a 13 year old). 

Tournament 

The World Championship is the world’s largest and most prestigious event for kids ages 12 and under. The full-length documentary The Short Game was filmed during the 2012 World Championship, and last year the field featured 1375 participants from 44 states and 48 countries. The 2017 US Kids World Golf Championship will be contested at the Pinehurst Resort on August 2nd - 5th, 2017 with the Van Horn Cup on August 6th.

U.S. Kids Scoring Requirment

Boys 15-18: max 82 (18 holes)
Boys 11-14: max 84 (18 holes)
Boys 9-10: max 44 (9 holes) / 88 (18 holes)
Boys 7-8: max 46 (9 holes)
Boys 6& U: max 48 (9 holes)
Girls 15-18: max 86 (18 holes)
Girls 11-14: max 44 (9 holes) / 88 (18 holes)
Girls 9-10: max 46 (9 holes) / 92 (18 holes)
Girls 8 & U: max 48 (9 holes)
