MJT Mini Tour at Tsawwassen Springs

A hot and windy day at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club in Tsawwassen, BC, led to a tough but great day for players aged 12 and under in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Mini Tour Series on Saturday, June 4th, the third in a series of eight events in the provincal series which culminates in the MJT Mini Tour National Championship presented by Ford at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club in Tsawwassen this August.

The huge winds this past Saturday had the golf course playing tough. Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club’s Lauren Kim shot a tournament low two under par 68 to win the Atom Girls division. Jay Xu out of Richmond Golf Club fought through to take the Atom Boys division by carding a 76. Jay said afterwards, “when I missed greens, most of the time my short game saved me.”
