Vancouver, BC — The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one played junior golf tour, is pleased to announce a partnership with the Stephen Ames Foundation.

Stephen Ames, a four times PGA Tour Winner, recently picked up his third PGA TOUR Champion’s victory by going wire-to-wire at the Trophy Hassan II in Rabat, Morocco, this past February, and is keen to give back to ensure the growth and development of the game. The goal of the partnership with the MJT, in line with Stephen Ames Foundation’s objectives, is to mentor development of young players trying out competitive golf on the MJT Mini Tour in Alberta for 2023.

“We are excited to partner with the Ames Foundation and appreciate that Stephen, Kelly and Ryan have joined us in encouraging young talent,” said Trent Matson, National Operations Director of the MJT.  “This support for young golfers will equate to a larger pool of better players for years to come.”

“Giving back to junior golf has always been a passion of mine so I’m excited to partner with MJT and support their development of junior golf in Canada,” said Stephen Ames. “With my son, Ryan, now a PGA of Canada Professional, it is exciting to get him involved in developing the sport as well.”
