2023 National Championship Announcement

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, Canada’s number one played junior golf tour, is pleased to announce the return of the prestigious annual MJT National Championship presented by TaylorMade and adidas Golf to The Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ, USA, this November. Athletes will compete across Canada all season to secure their invitation to this major junior event in 2023, the 25th Anniversary edition, which will run from November 9th through 12th and crown National Champions in six age divisions.

For over 50 years, the Wigwam Golf Resort’s Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed Gold Course has been recognized as one of Arizona’s most challenging and respected golf courses. The venue has hosted many signature tournaments over the years, including numerous U.S. Open Qualifiers, U.S. Amateur Qualifiers, several NCAA Regional Championships and the annual Patriot All-America Invitational – one of the top amateur competitions in the world. The 7,345-yard, par 72 Gold Course, which has received various industry awards and accolades since opening in 1965, including being named one of the “Top 100 Golf Courses in America”, is also hosting the 2023 PGA TOUR Canada’s Spring Q-School.

Results from the MJT National Championship will be submitted for several major rankings including World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), AJGA PBE Stars, Global Junior Golf Ranking, Junior Golf Scoreboard, Junior Golf Hub and Canadian Provincial and National Associations where applicable.
