The Maple Leaf Team is the only Canadian contingent in the 3rd Annual International Junior Golf Team Invitational. The Canadians will compete against teams representing the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other countries in a modified Ryder Cup format.
This event, to be held just outside of Mexico City at Los Colinas Golf Club in Ceurnacava, August 4-6, 2004, celebrates cultural diversity through junior golf for boys and girls, 18 and under. Network TV coverage by Fox Sports (Latin) and MVS nationwide.
Qualifying sites for the Maple Leaf Team (6 Boys, 2 Girls):
1. May 8-9: The Links at Boundary Shores, Delta, BC
2. May 15-16: Mill Woods Golf Club, Edmonton, AB
3. May 23-24: Lionhead Golf Club, Mississauga, ON
4. June 19-20: Tuxedo Golf Club, Winnipeg, MB
This is a huge opportunity for Canadian junior golf and an experience of a lifetime for the competitors. The Maple Leaf Team will be chaperoned by Alec Macdonald, CPGA, Head Golf Coach for the University of British Columbia.
