TODD HUTCHESON RECEIVES $1,000 CLEVELAND GOLF CANADA SCHOLARSHIP!
The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is pleased to announce that 17 year old Todd Hutcheson of Ingersoll, Ontario is the successful applicant of the $1,000 Cleveland Golf Canada Scholarship Award for 2004.
This honour roll student joined the Tour this year when he was nominated by his local club for the MJT Ontario PGA Junior Championship at Angus Glen GC. He went on to play in all Ontario events and earned an invitation to the MJT Boston Pizza National Tour Championship at Crown Isle Resort on Vancouver Island in September.
Todd credits golf to having taught him how to set goals on the course, which has filtered into how he sets goals for many aspects of his life, and how he wants to achieve them. "Golf is a lot similar to life," he said. "There are decisions to be made all the time, and each decision effects the outcome. Sometimes you need to play it safe and pick the smart path, but other times you need to let loose and go for it!"
The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour and Cleveland Golf congratulate Todd for "going for it" -- he is an exemplary role model and community citizen.
