13-Year-Old Golfer Excels at Honda Way

| Ledgeview's hilly
terrain and slick greens made scoring quite difficult for most of
the field, unless your name is Thomas Petts. The 13 year old from
North Vancouver putted brilliantly during the first round carding a
tournament low score of 66, followed by a rock solid 69 in round
two. Pett's 5-under-par 135 total proved too much for Abbotsford's
Adam Hadwin, who tried his best to catch Petts with a final round
68, but his opening 73 had left him too.. |

Tournament Division winners from
a series of nine specified events on the WCJGT all
receive exemptions to the 2nd annual WCJGT Invitational
at the Air Canada Championship, Northview G&CC, BC,
August 31 - Sept 1, 2002.
The Hall AutoGroup Junior at Ledgeview GC is one of the
designated qualifying tournaments, together with the
WCJGT tournaments at the following golf courses:
Belmont, Squamish Valley, Lacombe, Medicine Hat,
Connaught, Okanagan, the Dunes and McKenzie Meadows.
Tee Times start at 11:45 a.m. each day. |
