NEILES WINS SPOT TO SRIXON INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR CLASSIC IN MJT PLAYOFF

Carman, MB – (July 9, 2010) –Ed Boge, MJT Tournament Director and CPGA Professional, summed up the July 7-8 tournament on Carman Golf Club in Carman, MB, as “a fantastic two days of golf. The weather was amazing and the golf course in spectacular shape.” A full field of young golfers competed and in the 17-19 Boys division, Garrett Neiles, 17, of Winnipeg, won the gold medal and spot on MJT Team Canada to Australia on the second playoff hole after he had shot 75-73 and tied for the lead with Scott Mazur, 17, of Winnipeg (74-74). The other division winners were Stefan Lavallee of Steinbach (83-82) in Boys 13 & under, Bret Thompson of Winnipeg (78-76) in Boys 14-16, and Dana Todd of Winnipeg (84-83) in the Girls Division.
