Sizzling Singh Shoots 32 on Back Nine at Belmont

Langley, BC ? Patience paid off for Jessie Singh, 17, of Surrey, this past weekend, in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour?s Cattermole Timber Classic at Belmont Golf Club in Langley, which was in great shape after recently hosting the Canadian Tour Qualifying School.

Tying for the low overall score with Devin Carrey, 18, of South Surrey, Singh took home the Boys 17 & up winner's trophy based on his best second day score of 68.

Singh has paid his dues on the MJT, joining in 2002 and gradually witnessing the improvement in his game. ?This is my first tournament win,? he said, after scoring 73-68 (141). ?The MJT has taught me what parts of my game I need to work on in order to get better. The highlight was my 32 on the back nine ? it gives me a boost of confidence going into the summer.?
