KALIA CLAIMS LOW OVERALL ON MJT AT WHISTLE BEAR

CAMBRIDGE, ON – Howling winds resulted in an overall low score of 79 at the final stop on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s (MJT) Ontario Fall Series, held at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge on Saturday, October 25th. Claimed in the Boys 14-16 division by Sameer Kalia, 14, of Campbellville, this low score won him his first title in just two starts on the MJT.

“Finishing with the low overall score was my highlight,” he said. “It feels great to win a MJT event in my second appearance.” Three players tied for second place just one stroke back of Kalia in this division: Dylan Hamara, 15, of Cambridge, Cody Bergamin, 16, of Toronto, and Dylan Smallwood, 16, of Cambridge.
